About Clark H Smith

I once shook Ronald Reagan's hand.

I believe that qualifies me to speak with absolute authority on all matters conservative.  I've also lived a conservative life.  As a small business owner and manager, I've stared down the barrel of what Liberalism does to free enterprise.  As a pastor, I've made a careful study of what empowers and enslaves. Government has a significant role - sometimes indirect, sometimes direct - in creating an environment where people feel free, and where they feel hopeless.  As a husband of one and father of  four, I have, like all of us, a generational stake in the direction America moves.  Conservativism is it's only true hope.

I'm thrilled to be joined in this journey by my oldest son, Isaac.  He was conceived and born at the height of the Reagan Recovery.  He's drawn conservative breath every moment of his life.  I remember talking to him about "going off to college" and the differing worldviews he'd find there.  "I'm not going to become liberal!" he demanded.  And he didn't!  It's a father joy to see his children behave sensibly.  Here in this blog, Isaac demonstrates that he's utterly sensible and the hope of the next generation.
